trimmed with polished, bronze hardware. Trunion caps are attached
with j-bolts that are through bolted for strength. The barrel
is 29" long and weighs 75 lbs. This style carriage can

| This Carronade with trunions is 40" long and weighs
300 lbs. Constructed of iron, wood and brass hardware,
the J-bolts and T-bolts are through-bolted for strength. All
hardware is custom made from brass and buffed to enhance the
beauty of the metal. The carriage is based upon a South Bend
Replica concept drawing of a similar carriage at Sutter's Fort.

| This John Muller naval-style carriage was popular in
the 1800's aboard ships and at seacoast sites. Carriage material is
white oak and the trunion caps are cast bronze attached with
J-bolts and T-bolts that are through bolted. Transom and axel
trees are mortised to cheeks for strength. Brass or iron hardware
is custom made and sized for different size carriages. Iron
hardware is etched, primed, and painted. This Muller naval carriage
is shown with a 26"- 75 lbs barrel but is available for any size barrel. |

This is a Muller style carriage for a Verbruggen
3-pounder. Barrel is 37 long and weighs 200 lbs. Carriage
is white oak with iron hardware and bronze trunion caps. Carriage
weighs approximately 85 lbs |

This naval carriage was commissioned by the owner
for a bronze, antique barrel. The barrel came from the Tower
of London is marked with the crest of Lord Byron. It is 37
long and weighs approximately 190 lbs. The carriage is constructed
of teak and brass with a Bristol marine varnish
finish. |

This is a Carronade with a bottom mounted trunion
that was often used for seacoast fortification. It is based
on a drawing of a 1808 garrison carriage at a castle in Falmouth,
England. The barrel is 20 long and weights 60 lbs. |

The Dahlgren broadside gun was designed for shipboard
use. Such guns also saw duty on land at Port Hudson, Yorktown
and elsewhere. Barrel length is 19 and weighs 30 lbs.
This is a Marsilly style carriage. It differed from the common
carriage in that the rear wheels were removed. This created
greater friction to control recoil. Eventually this style carriage
replaced the four-truck design. |
