[The Sleek]

The 10-gauge 'CG' Cannon was developed and built by RBG Cannons for the US Navy, as a replication of the 'Captain Skeeter Gun,' used on Coast Guard cutters for signaling and saluting prior to World War II. The original two units are aboard the USS ANZIO CG-68 Guided Missile Cruiser, replacing the old 40-mm batteries previously used as saluting mounts on board US Navy ships.

The parade of world famous yachts currently sporting RBG cannons include: USS John F. Kennedy CV-67, USCG Eagle, Amistad, Schooner America, Lady Marina, Traveler and Affinity.

Mounting & finishing options: The standard CG Cannon is lanyard-fired, and can be mounted with a bronze yoke for rail or winch firing, or fitted for a custom teak carriage or bronze pedestal. The CG is also available configured for muzzle-loading.

See below for detailed firing instructions.

Cannot Ship to Washington, D.C.; CA; HI; Chicago, IL; MA; MI; NJ; New York City, NY; Canada and Puerto Rico.

  • Load 10-gauge blank with the primer facing towards you. Securely replace breech by turning clockwise.
  • Arm cannon by pulling firing pin until it clicks (right).
  • Prior to firing, check the surrounding areas for clearance, making sure that there is at least 6 feet in front of the cannon to prevent fire or smoke damage. Never stand in front of the cannon while it is being fired.
  • Fire the cannon by swiftly pulling the lanyard straight down.
  • Always wear hearing protection when in the vicinity of a cannon being fired.
  • Never load projectiles into your cannon, as this can cause permanent damage.
